Henke's True Colors

Wayne Henke's true colors will be on display Sunday night at the Holiday Inn in St. Peters. Former democrat losing VP candidate John Edwards will be in town to stump for Henke and the democrat party in St. Charles. A group organized by Buddy Hardin will be protesting at the event. The press advisory is provided at the end of this blog posting.

Many people have repeatedly been heard to say that Wayne Henke is a nice enough fellow. While that may be true on the outside, the fact that he is willing to align himself with liberals like John Edwards shows his true colors.

Henke opposed reform of the civil justice system in Missouri to insure that justice was fair and that people who were hurt due to no fault of their own were compensated. Henke voted to continue the system that awarded dead beats for being in the right place at the right time. A system that was driving doctors out of the state and lowering Missourian's ability to get access to quality healthcare.

Henke also opposed workers' compensation reform that said if you get hurt at work you will be taken care of but if you aren't hurt at work, your employer and fellow workers don't have to pay for your carelessness. Pretty simple straightforward approaches to a couple of significant problems in our state.

Henke wants to portray himself as a common man, in touch with the feelings and needs of the citizens of the 2nd Senatorial District. Embracing eastern liberals like Edwards would appear to be the antithesis of the public image Henke wants to project.

The press release sums it up rather nicely. "'The Edwards/Henke pro-abortion and anti-lawsuit reform agenda is not right for Missouri. If Henke wants to finance his campaign by surrounding himself with pro-abortion, liberal, trial lawyers, he is not going to do it without having to answer to the public,' stated Buddy Hardin, event organizer."

Well said. Get the word out!

RE: GROUP ANNOUNCES PROTEST OF FORMER PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE APPEARANCE

Doctors, citizens, and businessmen have announced that they plan to protest former Presidential candidate and trial lawyer John Edwards who will be visiting our state on behalf of State Senate Candidate Wayne Henke.

John Edwards a liberal pro-abortion trial lawyer is raising money from other wealthy lawyers to elect Wayne Henke in the Special Senate election in St. Charles County on Sunday February 26 at 5:30 pm at the St. Peters Holiday Inn Select. A protest is scheduled at the event.

The group is concerned about an out of state national politician intervening in a local election in order to promote what they feel is a Henke/Edwards, anti-reform agenda. The protest will occur at the fundraising event that the two have organized for this Sunday.

“We worked hard in Missouri to pass lawsuit reform to encourage the creating of more jobs, medical malpractice reforms to stop the flight of doctors and ensure affordable and accessible healthcare for all families and workers compensation reform to provide more for injured workers and less for wealthy lawyers. Henke voted no every time, like Edwards who opposed meaningful reforms while in the U.S. Senate,” noted Hardin.

“The Edwards/Henke pro-abortion and anti-lawsuit reform agenda is not right for Missouri. If Henke wants to finance his campaign by surrounding himself with pro-abortion, liberal, trial lawyers, he is not going to do it without having to answer to the public,” stated Buddy Hardin, event organizer.
